FACILITIES & SECURITY SUPERVISOR
Job Summary:
The Facilities and Security Supervisor monitors staff by patrolling on foot through the building. The supervisor is also responsible for monitoring the electronic surveillance equipment used on the premises. Each day the supervisor assigns areas to be overseen and presents a list of potential problems that officers should be on the lookout for. If someone is caught in breach, the supervisor oversees the steps to ensure that the matter is properly dealt with. The supervisor works with staff to develop safety plans for the buildings that are being monitored. The role also requires overseeing maintenance, managing budgets, and ensuring compliance with regulations to maintain a secure and functional workspace for employees and visitors.
Specific Duties:
- Supervise and coordinate maintenance staff, delegate tasks related to repairs and upkeep.
- Develop and implement preventive maintenance schedules to ensure the building is in good working order.
- Oversee facility upgrades, renovations, and space planning.
- Manage facility budgets, control operational costs, and coordinate with vendors and contractors.
- Ensure all facilities, grounds, and equipment are compliant with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
- Secures premises and personnel by patrolling property; monitoring surveillance equipment; inspecting buildings, equipment, and access points; permitting entry.
- Obtains help by sounding alarms.
- Prevents losses and damage by reporting irregularities; informing violators of policy and procedures; restraining trespassers.
- Completes reports by recording observations, information, occurrences, and surveillance activities; interviewing witnesses; obtaining signatures.
- Maintains environment by monitoring and setting building and equipment controls.
- Maintains organization's stability and reputation by complying with legal requirements.
- Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed
- Oversees the team of security officers that are assigned to them.
- Arranges all the shifts, weekly offs, leaves etc., for them.
- Assigns security officers their duties by using good rotation techniques and they themselves have to be in charge of monitoring the CCTVs.
- Makes an inspection and cover all the vulnerable spots.
- Prepare reports on the happenings that take place in the workplace.
- Make surprise inspections to see if all security officers are in their assigned places.
- If any incident does take place, they have to inform the authorities so no legal problems take place in the future.
- Trains all new security officers regarding all the security protocols of the company and ensures that new security officers obtain their PSRA license if not yet received.

EDUCATION/CERTIFICATION:
- Associate Degree in relevant field
Or
- NCTVET Certificate
- PSRA License required.
EXPERIENCE:
- Proven experience in facilities management, security operations, or a related field, prior supervisory experience preferred.
- Must have training and experience working with electronic monitoring systems.
- Working in a similar role in a call center environment would be an asset.
